Its unit is the capture: one composition by an answer surface (Google's AI Overview and AI Mode, ChatGPT, and others) at one address, the exact query, on one date. The rule of admission is its operator's: a capture enters the registry by means of source engagement in composition. The transcript is the capture, kept verbatim with its citations extracted as data. A later run at a seated address is an observation of the same address.
Its addresses are chosen by its operator, and most concern the archive's own entities, so it is a record of how those entities are received. A query with no source engagement at a new address does not enter.
